A Few Words About Me
Ron is a retired United States (U. S.) Army Officer. In between tours of Federal Service, he served five years as a civilian police officer in the Commonwealth of Virginia. During this service, He Served as the U. S. Department of Commerce. He led the initial implementation of Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12). At the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services, He served as the Program Director for the development and implementation of the department Identity, Credentialing and Access Management Program.
Upon his retirement from the Federal Government, the Homeland Security Assistant Secretary for Infrastructure Protection presented him with an award of excellence for his service to the Federal Interagency Security Committee. He serves on the ASIS International Standards Committee and is a Board Member of the International Foundation for Protection Officers. Ron founded Consullition, LLC, a member of Red Sapiens, LLC that provides Business Strategy Consulting Services to clients. He also serves as the Executive Director for the Open Security Exchange and a Trustee of The African Foundation for System Integration in Abuja, Nigeria.
Ron currently serves as a Professor of Practice at Capitol Technology University in Laurel, MD, and on the Advisory Boards of Waverley Labs, Building Intelligence. He is a Member of Infragard’s Louisiana Membership Alliance. Ron holds an AAS degree from Northern Virginia Community College, a Bachelors’s degree from George Mason University, a Master of Science degree from Frostburg State University, and a Ph.D. from Capitol Technology University.
The Governor of the Commonwealth Kentucky designated Ron as an Honorary Kentucky Colonel for his service to the Commonwealth. In 2005 the Georgia Senate in Senate Resolution 439 recognized and commended Ron for his outstanding service to Augusta/Richmond County, Georgia.
