Events & Outreach Working Group

Whether it is a series of webinars, conferences or activities that focus on the requirements for achieving and maintaining CMMC, it will be important to coordinate those efforts, leverage the appropriate SMEs and establish the COE as the go-to organization for information and access to those who can assist in training, assessment, planning, and implementation for achieving certification.

This working group establishes cadence and rhythm on how the COE will consider, organize, implement, and publicize its activities, critical to its continued evolution. This group also forges new alliances on behalf of COE for mutual benefit and actively seeks sponsors and expert speakers for networking events.

Cloud Technologies Working Group

Given the challenges around cloud migration and the related elements, especially at DoD, it will be important for the CMMC COE to provide access to subject matters experts that are able to provide and share guidance that incorporates security and privacy into cloud efforts.

This working group focuses on conceptualizing, strategizing, and blueprinting the large complex transformation programs, with elements sourced from diverse sources in the technology ecosystem, and assuring evidence-based outcomes – a proven combination of secure enterprise solution architecture blueprints, agile acquisition, and demonstrated outcomes.

Global Cyber Policy & Governance Working Group

Many of the companies that populate the Defense Industrial Base are multi-national organizations that are routinely confronted with a variety of requirements regarding cybersecurity and supply chain risk management. This working group specializes in understanding the regulatory requirements in various geographical regions and focuses on coherently recommending well thought out intersection of various approaches that multi-national organizations may need to take in diverse use case scenarios. This would be a valuable contribution to the important dialogue and also to the CMMC COE Knowledge Bank.Chair: Mr. Joel Hinzman
